Getting Started With OnCommand Connection
Easily setup your vehicle with the help of our service department.
How does it work?
OCC is a telematics and remote diagnostic tool. The system is placed in drivers and fleet vehicles and records important vehicle and engine data. As data is collected, OCC displays important vehicle insights in user-friendly displays for fleet managers and service professionals.
Step 1: Selecting your telematics device
New Lonestar, LT, and RH units come factory installed with a telematics device. If your vehicle is not equipped with a device from factory, you can purchase one from Southland International. For those that have an existing telematics device, you can view the list of OCC integrated 3rd party providers. We have 3 aftermarket devices available for purchase: Blue-Link, Samsara, and Geotab.
Each vehicle requires its own telematics device.
Step 2: Account Enrollment
Once a device is purchased, our service team will perform the enrollment process for you, free of charge. Service will require an email and information relating to vehicle(s) being set up with OnCommand Connection including telematics provider, VIN numbers, and vehicle unit numbers. Once this information has been received we can complete the enrollment process and add our dealership as a user on the account.
Step 3: Using OCC
Having enrolled, your OnCommand Connection device is now actively recording vehicle and engine data. Users and linked dealers can begin accessing all vehicle information through the OCC web portal. The web portal contains easily understandable dashboards with vehicle/fleet insights, vehicle health reports, and fault code action plans accessible within health reports.
