Southland International Trucks Ltd. Participates in EPIC DAY
Southland International Trucks Ltd. participated in EPIC (Exploring Possible Industries & Careers) a program that takes grade students on a large-scale career exploration event.
George and Shelby Kirkham spent the day touring groups of grade school students through the world of parts, service, sales and administration. Not your average field trip but an important one that gives early direction into the different career paths available.
EPIC guides students into real-world workplaces, giving them a sample of what it’s like to work in that space or career. These young minds got a behind-the-scenes look at what a future in trades, sales or administration could look like.
George Kirkham continues to open the doors of Southland International to students and schools, offering them more than just a tour he offers advice and motivation to choose a career early. George has been instrumental in elevating career education, including upgrading Lethbridge Polytechnic’s Heavy Duty Technician program to give tomorrow’s workforce the tools they need today.
Overall you could say the day was pretty Epic.
